Teyuna mamos and zagas, spiritual leaders of the Arhuaco, Kankuamo, Kogi and Wiwa people of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta region of Colombia have become increasingly concerned about the health of the planet. We at SRUTI are honored and blessed to welcome and host these extraordinary elders.

6:00-6:45 Teyuna Elders – Grounding into Presence: The vibratory resonance of indigenous flute music will open the heart and tune us in to a discourse on music as the heartbeat of The Mother. Music is a powerful form of communication. Sound, even in a non-verbal form communicates the essence of message at a visceral depth. For the Teyuna, music has always been a tool for perfect, pure, clear communication. The essence of who they are and the purity and beauty of their mission in service to Earth, our collective home is transmitted through their music.

Teyuna Elders in the Berkshires

Join the Teyuna Elders for a week of sacred events. The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia is known to the indigenous Teyuna—the Wiwa, Kogi, Arhuacho, and Kankuamo peoples, as the Heart of the World. Always in service to the Mother, their lives are dedicated to personal and planetary healing. During this unprecedented visit to North America, Teyuna Spiritual Leaders will share their earth wisdom, ancestral songs, and non-dual consciousness, and help us nurture and deepen our own relationship to the natural world.

All proceeds from these events support the work of the Teyuna Foundation and the indigenous communities of the Sierra Nevada.

Pagamento is payment to Mother Earth for her service to all life. It activates, heals, cleanses and energizes Earth for the collective and for individuals, and is essential for prevention of diseases in humans, animals, vegetables, water and air. This sunrise ceremony will focus on healing the Housatonic River. Please contact us for specific location and time.

Projects Recently Completed: 

·       The building three temples in Seyamᵾke, La Guajira, Colombia to serve 2,418 Kogi and Wiwa people - 300 families including 934 children under 15 years of age. The Seyamᵾke Temples are core and central sanctuaries for ancestral practice and spiritual teachings. 

·       Liberation of sites along the Magdalena and Besotes Rivers to prevent damming and mining, and 

·      Reclaiming 33 sacred sites in the Heart of the World. 

Currently we are seeking funding for the rebuilding of twenty traditional homes and one Nujué (female ceremonial house) for Kogi Nuanezhaka families who lost their homes and temple to fire.
