Kundalini Yoga is referred to as the Yoga of Awareness. Combining the tools ( breath, postures, meditation, body locks, hand motions and chanting) will heal and balance one’s body systems.

The goal of this practice is to remember who you truly are, to expand kindness, joy, and compassion into your life as well as a greater awareness of life itself.

Ritual Movement Workshop

Ritual + Movement return us to Nature, to the wilds of our soul, and to our deepest longings that surpass our small ego. Ritual cherishes all the wide aspects of the self - from the most heroic to the most vulnerable. By being in a container of conscious shared process, our own transformation is supported, while we simultaneously experience deeper inter-being with others. In seeing and being seen, through organic self-derived movement and guided group ritual, we nourish our soul's flowering into its true nature.

No need for prior experience. A love of movement of dance, curiosity and willingness needed. This work draws on BMR (Body Ritual Movement), Butoh, Lecoq physical exercises, and Body Mind Centering.

Medicine of the Heart Cacao Ceremony with Kirtan

Medicine of the Heart Cacao Ceremony with Kirtan

Medicine of the Heart Cacao Ceremony with Kirtan
Led by Jojo Silverman, with Justin Green

CEREMONY VISION
Medicine of the Heart employs the ancient remedies of Cacao and Kirtan as our faithful assistants on a powerful vibratory journey to reconnect and remember who we truly are. Before the advent of commercial chocolate, cacao seeds were prepared as a ceremonial drink within the indigenous cultures of Mesoamerica. When used in ceremony cacao acts as a gentle, yet powerful, assistant to stimulate the pineal gland and open the heart. The effect helps to increase sensitivity to subtle energies and facilitate connection. Reclaiming chocolate medicine in this way, while sitting together with intention, holding sacred space, is a powerful way to transform our reality and to feel the love and support that is always present within us. It is of great importance in this day and age to take time out - even for an afternoon - and to remember this place of sweetness and alignment.

Going home to this place together in a group, amplifies the experience and can have a deep and lasting effect on our consciousness. This experience, of allowing ourselves to fill up, as we sit in the company of our reflected truth, is called Satsanga.

Cacao Ceremony Details

Note: It is recommended that you eat very lightly (or not at all) prior to the ceremony to allow for full absorption of cacao.

Chocolate, as it's commonly called, is a safe and legal plant medicine that can be an amazing assistant and catalyst in our Self-Realization. This Heart-Activation journey includes a potent dose of  Dr Cacao's ceremonial grade, hand-peeled, lightly roasted heirloom cacao formula.
Journeyers will learn more about chocolate as medicine and how to use it.

(*Cacao consumption is not required for participation.*)

For ceremony questions email JoJo at: Ceremony@musicasprayer.org

Please bring the following:
your favorite mug and a stirrer
cushion or pillows to sit on
ceremonial garb (optional)
sacred items for altar (optional)
a journal (optional)
instrument or voice for medicine song to share (optional)
your own Self's medicine and focused presence!

$33 -$44 suggested love offering.

A student of yoga, meditation and kirtan for over 20 years, JoJo Silverman, has a deep passion for combining the power of these sacred tools with intentional ceremony, and strives to reinstate the value of ritual in the rhythm of our culture.

UNIviduals: An Evening with Timothy Freke

Join us for an evening with Tim Freke:
UNIvidualism & A Deeper Way of Living

An astonishing leap forward in the history of humanity is quietly gaining momentum. Never before have so many of us felt compassion for people we will never meet who are suffering in distant lands. More and more of us care deeply about other species and the natural world. A smaller but ever-increasing number are awakening to a profound sense of oneness with everyone and everything.

Pioneering philosopher Tim Freke suggests these developments are signs of our evolution from separate individuals into connected ‘unividuals’ who experience a unity that transcends our individuality.  During this he explores this momentous evolutionary jump.

You’ll be introduced to ‘Unividualism’ which is a new philosophy that unites science and spirituality to bring deep understanding and real hope to the human adventure.  You’ll experience ‘UnividualMeditations’ that awaken a state of communion and ‘big love’. You’ll be invited to become part of a new global tribe of unividuals that can transform our individualistic self-serving society into a culture of kindness.

T!M FREKE is an original thinker with a contagious enthusiasm for the human adventure, who shares life-changing ideas with clarity and humour. He is the author of 35 books translated into 15 languages, including an international bestseller and 'Book of the Year' in ‘The Daily Telegraph’, a prestigious UK broadsheet. He has been exploring spirituality since a spontaneous ‘awakening’ aged 12.

Amazonian/Tibetan Primordial Breathwork with Ceremonial Cacao

Amazonian/Tibetan Primordial Breathwork with Ceremonial Cacao

Amazonian/Tibetan Primordial Breathwork w/ Ceremonial Cacao

Facilitated by Roman Hanis and Cynthia Robinson

June 4, 2019, 6-10pm

This Primordial Breathwork workshop merges two traditional methods from the Amazon and Tibet.

This multidimensional practice rekindles your original connection with the essence of vitality by awakening inherently natural, higher vibrational frequencies of your organism. The practice also aids in the location and elimination of psychosomatic sources of disease, tensions, inhibitions and repressed emotions. Ancient, cathartic and healing breath patterns are applied throughout the ceremony, activating and purifying your primordial memory at the cellular level.

This ancient practice is somewhat similar to more recently developed methods, including the Rebirthing method by Leonard Ore, and Holotropic Breathwork, by Stanislav Grof. Primordial Breathwork however is rooted in living inter-generational wisdom , reflected in both Tibetan and Amazonian cultures as a conduit of experiential insight into the nature of existence. Another distinct benefit of this practice is the synchronization of the breath via awareness, sound, drumbeat and cyclical rhythm, which ultimately reveals the pulse of life force in nature to be an infinitely diverse and unified consciousness.

The cosmology and the theoretical background of this practice relates to the hero’s conscious journey towards the original state of unconditional presence. In Tibetan and Amazonian cultures, this primordial state is a most vital evolutionary portal to an infinite source of creative life force. This experiential practice cultivates a deeply restful state, allowing life force to flow and be expressed more freely.

An optional and complementary ceremonial cacao drink is offered at the event. Cacao is an ancient Amazonian plant spirit invoked for a heart-soul awakening of the energetic and emotional transformation.

Pre-registration is required, as space is limited: https://paititi-institute.org/events/404/great-barrington-ma-amazoniantibetan-primordial-breathwork-w-ceremonial-cacao/

The Art of Masterful Living with Todd Norian: Delicious Water

We are all made of the five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and sky. Masterful living is achieved when these elements are balanced within. When out of balance, you may feel contracted (too much earth), under water with emotional stress (too much water), unmotivated (not enough fire) or over-efforting (too much fire), scattered and fearful (too much air), or spacey and ungrounded (too much sky).

The Ashaya Yoga® practice brings about a flowing integration of all five elements that leaves you feeling strong, confident, peaceful, openhearted, and ready to engage with life wholeheartedly from a place of worthiness.

Delicious Water: Gentle Yoga and Therapeutics For the Lower Back and Hips

Saturday May 11, 1-4 pm

$65 for individual workshop

Gently open the body and practice therapeutic applications to soothe, restore, and strengthen the lower back and hips in order to flow better with the currents of life. Water always finds its way back to the source – the ocean of consciousness.

Ancient Bon Meditation of the Five Elements With Tempa Lama

A Benefit For Humla Fund’s Tibetan Medical Clinic In Humla, Nepal

According to Tibetan Bon, our bodies are made of the five elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space. During the teaching of this practice, we will learn the meditation and visualization for each element.

Tempa Lama will explain the role of the five elements in our human existence and their relationship to the functioning and wellbeing of our bodies and minds. Each element relates to one of the major organs: the earth, to the spleen; water, to the kidneys; fire, to the liver; air, to the lungs; and space, to the heart. Each element also relates to one of the five core afflictions: ignorance, desire-attachment, hatred-anger, jealousy, and pride.Tempa Lama will explain the benefits of this practice and how we can use it to strengthen our health and energy and to clear the five afflictions. He will also explain how to use the five elements practice to strengthen the La (soul), Sog (life force), and Tse (life span).

Tempa Dukte Lama was born in the Humla Valley of Nepal, close to the Tibetan Border, into a family of Bon and Buddhist practitioners. His grandfather was a village shaman priest, called Drang Rig. Tempa Lama lived closely with his grandfather and often accompanied him on visits to sick and dying people. At the age of six, Tempa Lama entered Menri Monastery in Dolanji, India, where he was placed under the care of H.H. Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche, the spiritual head of the Bon tradition. Tempa Lama has been living and teaching in the US, as well as teaching in Canada, Mexico, and Europe, since 2000. In 2013, Tempa Lama co-founded Humla Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the Bon culture and traditions in the Humla region of Nepal through access to quality education, healthcare and sustainable economic development.

TUITION: $150.

Kirtan (Yogic Chanting) is the practice of coming together in community to create strong spiritual vibration energy. Sound is a powerful resonance that we can direct to create love, peace, inner bliss for ourselves and direct our psychic energy in manifesting our vision for the world.

Chanting is one of the core practices of the yoga tradition. Take advantage of the opportunity to experience inner quiet, power and peace through the magical and musical repetition of mantra.

Creator of the healing modality Prayerful Resonance, and visionary of the Devotional Music Foundation, JoJo Silverman, has been a student of yoga, meditation, holistic health, chanting, hand percussion, and fire-Tending for 24 years. Using sound in the exploration of consciousness to connect hearts and minds is his gift and mission.

JoJo created the Devotional Music Foundation in 1999 to promote the sacredness of music as a force for healing our planet. Since then, he has been leading kirtans and chanting workshops internationally.

In 2008 he released the album Bhagavan Kripa: A Kirtan of Grace, a kirtan tribute to Swami Kripalvananda. Later that year he developed Prayerful Resonance Chant Activation, a specialized healing modality that uses prayer and sound.

In 2009 -2010 he built the Sonic Sacred Star Garden Temple, a hexagram shaped vegetable chanting garden, as a model for creating new relationships to music, the plant world, and our food.
JoJo believes strongly in the use of prayer and sound for recognizing and remembering our wholeness, and dedicates his life to the practice of these arts. He is currently resides in Asheville NC, focusing on his healing work and music-as-prayer.
